Jordan Girdis

Jordan Girdis, age 25, started kiteboard racing in Botany Bay, Sydney, after a desire to move to a new class of high performance sailing. Girdis has been competing around the world, and became Australia’s top world ranked Kiteboard racer for 2012 and 2013. He is working hard towards being part of the development of the sport, as it has the strong potential to become an Olympic Class.

Liz Wardley

Liz Wardley, age 39, an Australian from Sydney, grew up in Papua New Guinea. The PNG sailor, named Junior Female athlete in 1999, also won PNG’s SP Sportswoman of the Year in 1999 and 2000, with sports administrators recognising her yachting talent as bringing a unique distinction to the country. She has since gone on to join with Zhik as a member of the new Paddling team.

Nathan Outteridge & Iain Jensen

Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen, teamed up in 2008, and since have been unstoppable. Wrapping up the gold medal prior to the final medal race, the pair finished inside the top 10 in every race at the Games, including five overall race wins. Their gold medal was Australia’s first medal in the 49er.
